Part 382 of the FMCSR requires companies to establish an Employee Assistance Program and testing programs for alcohol and controlled substances. The following tests are required:  Pre-employment, Post-accident , Random , Return-to-work , Reasonable suspicion , Follow-up.

Senate Bill 2910:  
A BILL---- To require brokers to disclose and pay independent truckers for any fuel surcharges received from shippers that relate to fuel costs paid for by the truckers.

This bill was introduced 24 April 2008.  Stay tuned for the debates, voting and presidential signing if approved.
